CBC Young Adults

Young_adults

This group meets the social and spiritual needs of young adults from their late teens to mid thirties. Appealing to active youthful adults with a zest for living, CBC young adults know that life is about building relationships with each other and God.

Young Adult Connect Groups
Our Young Adult Connect Groups meet every Wednesday and Thursday night for study, discussion, prayer and fellowship. The style is informal and laughter and lively chatter is the norm; but quiet serious moments are never far away as people explore and share how to follow Christ in a contemporary way.
The end result are people growing closer to God and each other.

One of the practical ways the Young Adult Connect Groups "connect Jesus and community' is through what we call, 'Community Connections'. These are planned events held once a term where we meet local agencies, such as urban Seed and the Salvation Army, to foster an awareness of the issues facing the people of our city; issues such as homelessness and drug dependency, to indigenous health and land rights.

Service of Reflection
Once each term Young Adults Connect Groups set aside a time for a “service of reflection” to consider what God is doing in their lives and how he may be directing them. Mellow music, periods of silence, moments of prayer and times of sharing creates a reflective atmosphere where young adults give serious consideration to God in their lives.

Social Events
Throughout the year we plan social events for the YA Community, which includes friends from within the church and those we know from a wider context. There are not many people who don't like a party. It's a great way to have a good time, meet new people and get to know each other better.
