"The heavens declare the glory of God." Our coming children's holiday program is called SpaceMania, and solar systems are beginning to dominate the church building. Miniature replicas of a cosmos beyond our imaginings. "By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible" (Hebrews 11:3).
But what do we see? Just a speck of what there is to see! And yet, through what we see in creation, we have an opportunity to see beyond creation to the Creator, "God's invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature" (Romans 1:20).
In my previous post, Jon raised the unchangeable nature of the gospel: it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes... For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith (Romans 1:16,17). And it is centred in the person of Jesus Christ.
God is best, and fully, revealed in Jesus but something of Him can also be seen in creation. Check out Louis Giglio's Indescribable.
